My next single from SONGS FOR BLEEDING HEARTS is called Lonely…and what a theme tune for these isolating times it is. You might recall me telling the story of it and its life so far in this blog post.

Little did I know how appropriate this song would be in 2020 when I wrote it. I could not have imagined the world forced into lockdown or going through the mass introspection and transformation it is now. You can hear more about the song in the interview below.

Like so many creative dreams around the globe, my plans to make a music video for this song have been thwarted.

So…….I’m calling on YOU to help me transform this experience into art.

I want you to take your phone and film 5 to 10 seconds of whatever this experience of isolation has meant to you / what you’ve been doing with this time/ what you have seen or observed that you wouldn’t have without it/ what has been making you feel a little less lonely during this time.

I will compile the footage into a beautiful music video and share it with you all in the coming month. You can film absolutely anything – whether you’re in it or not doesn’t matter. What matters is sharing our different perspectives and taking stock of this moment….and keeping a record of how we felt and what we experienced…..to make sure we move on having grown from this as much as we can.

It’s also making lemons from lemonade 🍋🍹and steeping in the timeless Aussie tradition of ‘Don’t let the bastards get you down!’ 👍🤠
